Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

My research examines how political elites and the public use and interpret information. One recent project analyzes whether and how members of Congress amplify conspiracy theories, misinformation, and polarizing narratives in their official newsletters. More broadly, I study how stereotypes and other persistent misperceptions shape political reasoning and intergroup dynamics. This work aligns closely with C-SPAM by identifying the mechanisms through which inaccurate beliefs spread, how elite cues reinforce them, and how these processes contribute to polarization and misinformation.
