Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

I am a social psychologist currently working as a postdoc with Prof Rich Petty. My current research focuses on exploring the link between attitude strength and extreme behaviour, and my prior projects and existing side projects focus on highlighting underestimation of existing shared values within (e.g., within countries) and between groups (e.g., opposing political groups) to increase social connection. My research has strong links to understanding polarisation by trying to understand what factors predict extreme beliefs and behaviours, and in trying to find solutions to bring disparate (sub)groups of people together.
