My research focuses on the psychological and sociological mechanisms underpinning political polarization and misinformation in contemporary democratic societies. My work integrates insights from political psychology, behavioral economics and computational social science to understand how individuals form, sustain and sometimes abandon misinformed beliefs. In relation to C-SPAM, my research investigates the systemic and individual-level pathways through which partisan bias exacerbates susceptibility to misinformation. By leveraging experimental designs and survey research, I study the role of motivated reasoning and information environments in amplifying polarization.
