The annual C-SPAM Early Career Achievement Awards recognize researchers who have made transformative early-career contributions to the science of polarization and information. Recipients receive a monetary prize and custom C-SPAM trophy. They are also invited to speak at Ohio State during spring semester as part of C-SPAM's Distinguished Scholars Colloquium Series.
C-SPAM offers two awards per cycle:
- Trajectory Award (recipients can be no more than 6 years post-PhD)
- Momentum Award (recipients can be no more than 12 years post-PhD)
Nominations are encouraged and accepted across scientific fields and across academic appointments. Researchers may nominate themselves.
Required Materials
Nominators must provide the following materials and information on the application form:
- a summary of the nominee's achievements in the field and why they deserve the award (no more than 1,200 words)
- a copy of the nominee's CV
- links or PDF copies of 1 or 2 academic articles recently published by the nominee
