Seed Grants

Seed Grants

Polarization and misinformation are among the greatest challenges of the 21st century. The Collaborative on the Science of Polarization and Misinformation (C-SPAM) brings together experts from across scientific specialties to research the causes of these pressing issues and potential solutions to them.

C-SPAM Seed Grants are designed to facilitate this important work. Each grant of up to $7,500 will support existing or newly forming teams of scientific researchers as they launch novel, interdisciplinary projects about polarization and misinformation. Funded teams will receive support for strategic activities that advance the development of proposed projects and the pursuit of additional funding.

We anticipate offering up to four C-SPAM Seed Grants per fiscal year: two in Spring semester and two in Autumn semester. Grant funds will be valid for one year from the date of the initial fund transfer.
